Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on how large your plant collection is! One 8oz jug of plant food will fill 235 gallons of water! The average watering can (like the one pictured below) holds a quart, meaning you can fill a watering can this size up 940 times with one jug of plant food!!
One bottle will last someone with 20 houseplants an average of 6-9 months!
Yes! Plant Food is a general use fertilizer that will work for all types of houseplants!
Stay aware of succulents and cacti that are meant to be squatty (like echeveria) it can boost their growth and make them leggy!
It can be used year round, you'll just use it less frequently because you are watering less frequently.
If your plant goes truly dormant in the winter (very few houseplants do!) you'll want to cut back the usage to every couple of waterings.
For other houseplants continue to regularly water with Plant Food but keep in mind that most plants do not need much water/fertilizer during the cold months.
You use Plant Food with every watering!
Fill it up to where you normally would, then pour it into any container that says the fl/oz (water bottle, mason jar, milk container) Once you know how much it holds, measure your Plant Food accordingly, it's marked every .25ml on the dropper!
Yes-ish. Cactus and Succulents are much slower growing than tropical varieties of houseplants. The formula in Plant Food has a higher amount of Nitrogen and Phosphorus which can force slow growing plants to get leggy. That being said, succulents and cacti still need food, so we recommend diluting it to .25 ml/gallon.
Every plant is different, and growth depends on a variety of conditions. Some people see results in a week, but we love the 6 week mark!
Watch for new growth, greener leaves, and a happier plant!
